This and the sequel, Alice’s Adventures Through the Looking Glass are on my list of 1001 books to read, and as luck may have it, I am taking a class on Lewis Carroll this semester, so have just finished the first book. I expected it to be completely different from the Disney movie, because it’s more of an episodic tale than one with much of a continuous plot, or so I’d heard. The Once and Future King

The Once and Future King by T.H. White

I started this book well over a month ago and can only mostly blame a busy end of the semester for not finishing it sooner. It’s 639 pages of what seems to be action, but once you really get into the middle and end of the book, it’s a lot of just a retelling of some action that happened over the past year condensed into a few pages. It got kind of boring. Also, there was this chapter roughly 100 pages from the end that basically described what it meant to be living in England at the time.
